About Jeff C. Chang
Since 2006, Jeff Chang has advised businesses on critical transactions, complex disputes, and cross-border matters. As a practicing attorney and an entrepreneur who has founded companies, he understands business from both sides of the table: the legal issues and the practical realities of cash flow, growth pressures, and strategic decisions.
Raised in the US with deep roots in the Asian business community, he understands what a contract means in Taipei and what it means in Boston, and bridges that gap for clients on both sides. He works in English and conversational Mandarin and has handled matters, including litigation, with all-Mandarin-speaking parties. Chang Law Group is a Boston business law firm founded by Jeff C. Chang, who has practiced in Massachusetts state and federal courts since 2006.
How the Firm Works
Clients work directly with senior counsel. Messages from teams in Asia are answered promptly, with a direct line for urgent matters. Companies that need US counsel on a continuing basis retain the firm as outside general counsel.
Practice Areas
Business Transactions & Contracts - From entity formation to multi-million-dollar deals, the firm structures transactions that protect clients while allowing business to move forward. Whether you are a US company sourcing from Asia or an Asian company entering the US market, you get senior counsel without big-firm overhead.
Commercial Litigation & Disputes - When deals go wrong or partners conflict, the firm brings trial experience since 2006 representing both plaintiffs and defendants, in state and federal court, including litigation conducted with all-Mandarin-speaking parties.
International & Cross-Border - The firm handles the intersection of US and Asian business, from market entry and regulatory compliance to cross-border transactions and disputes. Recent work includes assisting with the removal of an international company from the US Entity List through regulatory advocacy with the Department of Commerce.
